ARINJALE LAUDS FETHI MGT OVER FACELIFT OF ISE ANNEX, AS BOARD PAYS HOMAGE

The monarch of Ise-Ekiti, one of the host communities of Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti (FETHI) Annexes in Ekiti State, Oba Adetunji Ajayi, Aweloye II, Arinjale of Ise-Ekiti, had applauded the management of the hospital over the recent renovation of the annex which he said was contrary to the expectations of his people.
Oba Adetunji Ajayi, who received the hospital’s Board of Management in his palace on Wednesday, thanked the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Professor Adekunle Ajayi for the visit, noting that the community has had little to complain about since the inception of his administration.
Kabiyesi explained, “By now we thought Ise annex would have been scrapped owing to previous experience, but Prof. Ajayi has proved to be father for all by even improving the facilities here.”
He said the community has gone far in the mobilisation of residents for the Community-Based Social Health Insurance Programme (CBSHIP), adding that Ise indigenes abroad were making efforts with Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to procure state-of-the-art equipment for the annex.
Earlier, the CMD, who introduced the Board Members to the community, described the Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Sukababa as a complete gentleman one can hardly describe sufficiently with words. He congratulated the hospital for having the team at this point in time.
In his remarks, the Board Chairman thanked the community members for their hospitality and said his team had come to appreciate the community and see the state of the renovations going on in the annex.
Prof. Ajayi noted that he was passionate about the CBSHIP, saying one major way forward to resolve funding in the health system was to reduce out-of-pocket expenditure when individual wants to assess health care.
He stressed that very soon only communities where communal cohesion exists like Ise-Ekiti shall benefit from the Community-Based Social Health Insurance Programme, disclosing that annexes may also likely attract supports from the state government anytime soon.
“These present Board Members are very committed to qualitative health care services. Anything expected of the management for Ise annex shall never be held back or left undone under any guise,” the CMD assured.
The President of Ise Development Council, Elder Falana, who gave the vote of thanks, took the gathering on a memory lane about the historical background of Ise-Ekiti and said the community had distributed leaflets about the CBSHIP to all churches, mosques and societies in the town. He boasted that, owing to the level of their present publicity, the exercise shall record a huge success in their community.
The CMD along other Top Management Committee Members of the hospital thereafter took the Board Members on inspection tour to the annex, where Dr Mrs Oyekenu (Head of Clinic), Dr Omolayo, Pharmacist Adebona and Olori Ajayi led the visiting team round the facilities.
