FETHI ENJOYS 275KVA GENERATOR PROCUREMENT, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING

The award of contract of 275KVA 3unit generator to NIDAVE Industrial Venture Limited led by Engr. Oluwaniran Davis and his Team awarded on 30th November , 2018 was finally officially commissioned today, Thursday, 23rd April ,2020 by the Chief Medical Director of Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti Prof. Kunle Ajayi ably represented by the Director of Administration , Dr. B.O Ogunrinde.

The installation of the generator is made possible due to the Management’s ability to prioritize the completion of the project above any other one due to it’s exigency also supported the contractor for the release of the first quarter to push the project to a befitting state where the hospital community can benefit.

However, henceforth , the three(3) new generators according to the Head of Procurement Unit, Engr. Owoola , will power the Core Clinical areas of the Hospital while the face lift of the Power House will begin in earnest to create an enabling and condusive environment for Engineers and Technicians.

He explained that reasonably , the issue of power shortage in the hospital is now a thing of the past. According to him, the 1000KVA of the hospital will still cover some areas of the hospital by extension to the Multipurpose Clinic Building among others.

In his illustation,he further reiterated the Chief Medical Director’s commitment towards maintaining constant and stable power supply within the hospital community as power will not be an hinderance to smooth Clinical Proceedure and operation forthwith . He spoke of plans to work on Indoor and Outdoor Solar System so that Clinical Staff can still function in the discharge of their duties with or without Power Supply and so that the Hospital won’t be in total darkness without depending on the Generator.

“We ll still get tripitite 500KVA that can cover the entire Hospital Community during the day while the smaller ones will be serving the Departments and sections of the Hospital. No Department or Unit will be left out” he said.

Meanwhile , the Head of Works and Services Department , Engr. Dada expressed his appreciation to God for the opportunity given to the Management of the Hospital, led by Prof. Adekunle Ajayi for the Laudable achievement. He said the commissioning of the Generator will go a long way in solving the electricity problem of the hospital; as we all know that the hospital activity is aided by adequate supply of Electricity and Water . He added that, with this installation, the hospital will no longer record power failure during Operation and it will put an end to supply of power to a section of the hospital and leaving the other sections out which has led to Chaos in the past.

Infact,the hospital will now witness treamendous changes thereby boosting its Internally Generated Resources (IGR)

“Lastly, I appreciate the CMD for his mission drive. He is a goal getter and an achiever per excellence for this wonderful feat” he said.

Speaking for the CMD, Engr. Owoola expressed undaunting appreciation to every Clinical department for their perseverance over the months and prays for greater heights for the management.
