INVITATION TO TENDER FOR BOARDING OF UNSERVICEABLE MOTOR VEHICLES AND SCRAP PARTS

     A. INTRODUCTION

The Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido- Ekiti, a tertiary health institution has properties acquired with Government funds. Accordingly, in compliance with Public Procurement Act 2007, the Hospital hereby invites interested members of public to bid for the unserviceable vehicles and scrap parts, which are currently parked at Works & Engineering Services Department Yard of the Hospital.

     B. DETAILS OF VEHICLES TO BE BOARDED

     C. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT

      a. Reputable member of public, he must be:

      i. Nigerian

      ii. Someone who has never been convicted by any Court of Law

      iii. Regular Tax Payer with evidence

      b. For corporate body, the following shall be the eligibility criteria:

       i. Evidence of up-to-date company registration with Corporate Affairs Commission, by       inclusion of Certificate of Incorporation, Form CAC2 and CAC7

      ii. Tax clearance certificate for the last three (3) years (i.e. 2016, 2017 and 2018) valid till   31st December 2019

iii. Certificate of National Pension Commission (PENCOM)valid till 31st December 2019

iv. Certificate of Compliance issued by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) valid till 31st   December 2019

v. Evidence of Registration on National Database of Contractors, Consultants and Service Providers by inclusion of Interim Registration Report (IRR) from BPP expiring on 31/01/2020 or Valid Certificate issued by BPP

vi. Evidence of Current Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Compliance Certificate valid till 31st December 2019.

     D.  COLLECTION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS/EXAMINATION  OF VEHICLES

The vehicles shall be opened for bidders’ examination at Works & Engineering Services Yard from Wednesday 2nd October, 2019 between the working hours of 08.00am and 04.00pm daily on payment of non-refundable processing Tender Fee of NGN5,000.00 per lot into the Hospital Remita Account and presentation of the copy of Hospital’s receipt and clearance from Procurement Unit. The tender documents are to be collected from Procurement Office room No. 13, Admin Building FTH between the working hours of 08.00am and 04.00pm daily from the date of this publication.

     E.   SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS

Completed tender documents should be packaged in a sealed envelopes clearly marked at the top right corner stating the title of the project i.e. “ LOT 1: PEUGEOT 406” and be left in the appropriate Tender Box at Procurement Office room No. 13, Admin Building FTH, Ido Ekiti, to be addressed to:

The submission should be made not later than 12.00 noon on 16th October 2019. Late application will be rejected. The hospital will not be held liable for misplaced or wrongly submitted bids for

     F.   CLOSING DATE AND OPENING

The closing date for the submission of Tender Documents is on/before 12.00noon on 16th October 2019. All BIDS will be opened the same day 16th October 2019 at 12.00noon at the Hospital’s MINI CONFERENCE HALL (Old School of Nursing Hall), in the presence of bidders in attendance and interested general public. The successful bidder shall have 72hours to make payment, failure of which shall deem to be withdrawal of interest and the second highest bidder shall be considered. After the payment the vehicles must be removed from Hospital Premises within seven (7) working days, failure of which will attract the payment of NGN 1,000.00 per day to the Hospital Remita Account.

     G.  NOTATION

  • Bids must be in English Language and signed by the bidder.
  • Members of Management and staff of Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido – Ekiti should NOT bid.
  • Bidders are not allowed to bid for more than two (2) lots.
  • This publication is for information purpose only and does not constitute an offer by the Hospital to transact with any party for the disposal, nor does it constitute a commitment or an obligation on the part of the Hospital to dispose the vehicle(s) to anybody or agent.
  • The Hospital will not be responsible for any cost or expenses incurred by any interested bidder(s) in connection with any response to this invitation and/or preparation or submission of the documents.
  • FTH, Ido-Ekiti also reserves the right to invoke the provision of section 28 of Public Procurement Act (PPA) 2007 without incurring any liabilities to the bidder.
  • All bidders, relevant Civil servants and general public are invited to attend the exercise.
