The annual end of the session/year party of Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti (FETHI) Primary and Secondary Schools was held on Tuesday featuring varieties of social and other extracurricular activities including price giving and graduation ceremonies for the Primary Six, JSS3 and SS3 students.
Both primary and secondary schools which had their activities simultaneously at the school compound and School of Nursing Main Campus Hall respectively, thanked the hospital management for the level of responsiveness they had received within the last one academic session.
Mr. Abayomi Adeakin, Assistant Director of Administration, who represented the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Adekunle Ajayi at both occasions, rejoiced with the schools management for having a hitch-free academic session and commended the staff for putting in their best in all areas for the growth of the hospital and that of the schools.
The Headmistress of the primary session, Mrs Tope Alabi and Principal of the secondary school, Mrs Oguntuase A.I., in their remarks, glorified God Almighty for helping the management to sustain the system and expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the invited guests who graced the occasions.
They appreciated the leadership of the hospital who had never relented in making the schools the pride of the community. Meanwhile, Mrs Oguntuase advised the graduating students of JSS3 and SS3 to seek knowledge like a sinking star, solve problems, be self motivated and be mental alert, adding that it was her prayer for the students to go higher and be the best among equals.
The school heads lauded the supports enjoyed from the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and promised that the management shall keep the ball rolling to guarantee better development of the schools.
Parents were officially informed that “Operation Show Your Teller” shall be introduced come next session, and that no student shall be allowed entrance into the school compound without school fee payment teller.
Pastor Balogun, who represented the PTA Chairman, applauded the hospital management for putting up a standard laboratory for the science students, and said he hoped the management shall expedite actions on having a library and computer room for the benefit of the students.
