Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti (FETHI)  medical team led by Dr Popoola and Mrs Ahmed arrived Eda-Oniyo in Ilejemeje LGA of Ekiti State at about 10:05am last week Thursday.

Mrs Ahmed delivered the health talk which was based on need to subscribe to proper health hygiene and discussed extensively on the causes and remedy of hypertension and diabetes.

Admonishing the populace on the need for routine medical checkup, she said, “It is very important to be  going for medical checkup regularly to know the state of our health. We must know our blood pressure and the sugar level in our body system to avert emergence of hypertension and diabetes respectively.”

The people were advised to eat properly and have adequate time to rest.

Total number of 50 people were diagnosed and treated, as the programme was brought to an end at exactly 1:00pm.
