Residents of Ilemoso-Ekiti in Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti State, on Thursday, 25th July, 2019 received quality health care services delivery during an outreach organised by the medical team from the  Community Health and Pharmacy Departments of Federal Teaching Hospital, ldo-Ekiti (FETHI).

Mrs Adeniyi, a public health nurse from the department of Community Medicine  after her welcome address enlightened the people on the dynamics of Nutrition and diet-related health needs as key components of wellness efforts in the prevention of chronic diseases.

She spoke extensively on the leading causes to chronic health conditions  linked to food and diet;

consumption of food with much seasoning(s), excessive salt intake and poorly prepared meals as habits contributory to reduced quality of life which can lead to heart related diseases as well as stroke.

Activities carried out on the outreach programme were; vital signs, consultation  with the doctor and drug prescriptions and dispensing.

In attendance were 27 patients, with no referral, a Community Health Physician, Dr. Mrs Babalola and other medical team were on ground for the outreach programme.
