The management of Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti (FETHI), has upgraded the Dental Laboratory of the hospital to a world standard Dental Laboratory where advanced restorative treatment comparable to any other standard laboratory in the world can be done.

It is now evident that treatment which can be offered ranges from porcelain-fused to metal crowns, full porcelain crowns, full metal crowns, metal-based dentures, obturators and different types of dental bridges.

Obviously, all these improvements were made possible under the visionary leadership of the amiable Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Adekunle Ajayi who have always strived for the best and only had satisfaction in excellence.

Amongst the newly acquired equipment are Centrifugal Casting Machine, Burnout Furnace, Vacuum Cleaner, Steam Cleaner, Porcelain Baking Furnace, Ultrasonic Bath, Model Trimmer Sand Blasting Machines, Model Vibrator and Work Station.

According to the end users, the upgrading has earned the hospital the expected standard of a Teaching hospital; and the dental technologists are currently undergoing training in the use of these modern equipment.

Members of the department expressed gratitude to the management for investing heavily in the department in order to improve their services delivery.
