Photo News: The October edition of the monthly prayer meeting organised by the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti took place yesterday at the newly constructed Christian Chapel which God is using his children to build within the hospital.
The theme for this month was “Overwhelming Victory” and the Bible text was taken from the book of 1st Corinthians 15 vs 57.
Dr. Omolayo , charged members of staff to take the written word of God and enforce that position of victory that we have in God.
In his words, “overwhelming victory is the victory that is so obvious that nobody can doubt it. It’s the victory that doesn’t subject itself to any form of contention. It’s a victory that whatever scale you want to put it, it’s clear and well obtained victory”.
Prayers for God’s victory in our lives and power to defend the territories God has given us were unanimously rendered alongside Intercessions for divine guidance and protection for every FETHI staff.
The Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adekunle Ajayi offered thanks to God for all He has done for the entire hospital community, bringing us triumphantly into the month of October.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, no casualty has been recorded amongst members of staff. He stressed that God had not only fought for us but had also favoured and blessed us.
He appreciated the organizers for their fervency and prayed God will keep granting us victory on every sides.
“I want to thank you all for bringing this alter into this place. I am very glad and fulfilled that people of God can have a place to run to and shout without any disturbance,” he submitted.
Furthermore, he warned intending candidates seeking for one political seat in the upcoming union elections, not to heat up the system for their personal interest. He urged them not to promise what they can’t give but measure themselves, measure their capacity and stay with truth.
Prof. Ajayi stated that he won’t get involved in the politics of association but only get involved in the place of prayers. He prayed that whoever is not coming to do the bidding of God will never get near to the place where he will represent God.
On a final note, members of staff were encouraged to prepare ahead to attend the next monthly prayer meeting which will hold on Monday, 2nd of November.
