The Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH) Ado-Ekiti Chapter on Tuesday, 6th of October 2020, made a courtesy visit to the Chief Medical Director,(CMD) Prof. Adekunle Ajayi, Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti (FETHI),with the aim to further initiate the long existing relationship between both institutions.
Dr. Oluwole L.O, Chairman MDCAN, EKSUTH and his team which include Dr. Afolayan Jide M, Vice Chairman, Dr. Agbesanwa T.A, Secretary MDCAN, Dr. Akinwumi A. Femi, Assistant General Secretary, Mr. Kadiri Irrih .A, Publicity Secretary and Dr. Olusola Abiodun, Acting Treasurer were welcomed by the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adekunle Ajayi who pointed out the laudable achievements of the hospital since its inception.
Prof. Adekunle Ajayi, in his remarks appreciated the MDCAN, EKSUTH team for giving him the platform to build his capacity which has been very useful in the discharge of his new assignment. He further mentioned that EKSUTH and FETHI should be involved in complementary relationship and help each other in their area of weakness and that is how we can become relevant in the health sector.
“ EKSUTH is our hospital, our heritage and shouldn’t give room for unhealthy rivalry. He urges all to keep our temperament under check and encourages all not to be far away from their CMD’s or CMAC’s”. Dr. Adekunle Ajayi submitted.
The Chairman equally prayed for a much more robust and impactful relationship between the hospital and EKSUTH adding that God will grant him the wisdom, understanding and knowledge to pull through during his tenure.
While giving the vote of thanks, the CMAC of the hospital, Dr. Idowu Adebara, ably represented by Dr. Awoyinka, appreciated the team for coming and wished them a safe trip back to their destination.
The visit had in attendance some members of the hospital’s management team which includes, representative of the CMAC, Dr. Awoyinka, Director of Administration, High Chief B.O Ogunrinde, Mrs. Oluyemi Olayisade, Assistant Director of Finance /Head of Account Department, Mrs. Folusho Adelegan, Assistant Director Human Resources, Mrs. Yinka Adewara, Head of Audit , Mr Francis Bank-Akinnuoye, Head of information/Corporate Affairs and Mr. Yomi Fayigbe, Chief Admin Officer.
