PHOTONEWS: ACTIVITIES THAT MADE UP FIRST WORKING DAY IN 2021

The month of January 2021 prayer meeting organised by Christian Community of the hospital, tagged “A Good Place,” was held at the New Hospital Christian Chapel and had its text from Exodus 3:8.

Series of prayers were rendered for the management and staff of the hospital that the Lord will deliver us and take us to a broad land flowing with milk and honey in the year 2021.

In his remark, the Chief Medical Director, Prof Adekunle Ajayi welcomed all the members of staff to the new year. He referred to year 2020 as a year to reckon with COVID-19 but appreciated God for His protection over the staff.

He advised all to avoid shortcuts to success but be consistent and diligent, added that promotion is a reward for hard work. He prayed divine promotion for all and charged the staff to take ownership of the hospital as stakeholders.

In another outing on Monday, the New Head of Nursing Services (HNS) of Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti, Mrs Olajide G. O., on behalf of the management of the hospital gave gift items to the Parents of the First Baby of the Year, Mr and Mrs John Joe from Ifisin-Ekiti.

She congratulated the parents of the baby for the bundle of joy received from God in the new year. She urged them to take good care of the baby and continue to observe all the safety measures of COVID-19 pandemic.

In his response, the father of the baby, Mr John, appreciated the management of the hospital for extending heart of benevolence to his family.

Also present for the presentation of the gift were Consultant, Paediatrician, Dr F. Bolaji, Assistant Director, Information and Corporate Affairs Dept, Mr Bank-Akinnuoye, Head of Medical Social Work, Mrs Oguntuase, Comrade Odogwu Mandy, Mrs Akilo and Mrs Adeniyi among others.
