“FETHI; “Beauty & Pride of Ido/Osi L.G.A” , CMD Eulogises

The Chief Medical Director, Professor Adekunle Ajayi and Management Team of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti (FETHI) , played host to the Executive Chairman and his entourage from Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State, which also doubles as the Host L.G.A for the Institution on Wednesday, 27th April, 2022.

The visiting team, comprising representatives from the Ido/Osi L.G.A Council were led by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Dr. Sola. Ogunsina.

Welcoming the Executive Chairman and his delegation, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adekunle Ajayi, expressed elation describing their visit as significant, the first of its kind.

Prof. A. Ajayi, while giving a brief run down of the history and positive evolutions the Hospital has attained so far, described FETHI as the “Beauty and Pride” of Ido/Osi L.G.A; A collection of well meaning people, rendering quality health care services with ease of access to the good people of Ekiti State and its environs and a center for the reproduction of knowledge and Research .

However, the CMD highlighted a number of generic challenges, ranging from; Misconceptions by the general public, insecurity and revenue.

Thereafter, Hon. Dr. Ogunsina in his response, while saluting the CMD and the Management team present for the warm reception accorded him and his members, acknowledged that the Prof. Adekunle Ajayi led administration as exceptional, in whom, he and the people of the Ido/Osi L.G.A are well pleased.

The Executive Chairman, while stating the purpose of their visit, said that his coming to FETHI was to familiarize himself in his official capacity for the L.G.A., to collaborate with the foremost health institution being led by the CMD.

Continuing, Honourable Ogunsina, further appreciated Dr. Erinomo Olagoke; the Chairman, Medical Aďvisory Commitee, the Management Team and members of staff for their great support to the CMD; whom he described as “a golden fish that has no hiding place” in moving the institution forward.

Prof. Adekunle Ajayi while responding, commended the L.G.A Chairman and his Executives for the visit which he said had honoured FETHI tremendously as he expressed ethusiasm of a continued robust relationship process between the Institution and the Host L.G.A.

One of the highlights of the visit were the presentations of copies of the official Magazines of the Hospital; a Compendium of the last 3 years of Prof. Adekunle Ajayi’ Administration and Annual Report of FETHI to the Ido/Osi L.G.A Library.

Dr. Erinomo Olagoke, while giving the vote of thanks, emphasized the convergence of the L.G.A Executives, which he described as profound and heartwarming.

He then concluded by expressing hope for greater future opportunities to work together.
