The Annual General Meeting of the progressive FETHI Medical Doctors Co-operative Society( Doctors Welfare Scheme), Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti has marked its 6th Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2022 Edition, on Wednesday, 20th April at the Mini Conference Hall (FETHI).
The Society’s Chairman (FETHI MDC) and Host, Dr.Ola Adaramola, opened the meeting by welcoming all members present to the society’s Annual General Meeting.
Dr. Ola Adaramola, while giving his opening speech, acknowledged the Management of FETHI led by the indefatigable Chief Medical Director, Prof. Adekunle Ajayi for his unflinching support by creating an enabling environment, which has enabled the society to flourish.
After the reading and adoption of the last AGM minutes of meeting of March 2021 by Dr. Blessed; Presentation of the Trial Balance as at 31st December, 2021; An overview of the major parts of the co-operative AGM were listed-out in the agenda for the day.
Highlights of the meeting were; Reading & Adoption of the Account for 2022 Financial Year; Drafted resolutions from the Board and issuance of executive call to members; Observations & Clarifications on the appropriation of the account as of December 2021; & updates on general welfare packages.
Mrs. Olayemi Olayisade, the Head of Finance and Accounts Department (FETHI), described her presence as the representation of the CMD, who was on another official assignment.
In her goodwill message, the Chief Accountant of the Institution, congratulated the Association on the 6th Annual General Meeting, which she acknowledged is getting stronger.
She also commended them for a job well-done, on the proper execution of the Trial-Balance and excellent running of the co-op scheme.
Dr. Gabriel Olayande, representing the Treasurer, MDCAN Welfare Society, Dr. Awoyinka, also in his goodwill message, described the FETHI Doctor’s Co-operative Society and it’s entire team as ‘GIANTS’.
He thereafter urged them to continue in their good strides of handling the society excellently.
Chairman of the ARD Association, Dr. Bodunde, while giving his goodwill message, pledged readiness in availing the Association’s unrelenting support, even as he wished the Society another round of a successful year.
Mr. Falua, the Director of Co-operative Society of the Institute of Commerce, Ekiti State, while also felicitating with the Doctor’s Co-op, expressed satisfaction over the level of commitment showed by the executive members of the scheme.
He thereafter, encouraged sincerity on the part of the co-operators of the scheme.
Dr. Adaramola O., while giving his closing remarks, appreciated the Ekiti State Directorate, Co-operative Unit of Ministry of Commerce, Trade & Investment, for their support and robust working relationship with the FETHI Doctor’s Co-op.
He further thanked the Management of the Co-op Society and co-operators for their level of trust; as he assured them of absolute rendition of their continued best.
In closing, he implored members of staff to desist from patronising online electronic loans which he termed ‘risky’ but rather register their membership with renowned co-operative Schemes.
