FETHI goes Explicit on Specialist Clinic Charts, Wins Applaud from SERVICOM

The management of Federal Teaching Hospital Ido-Ekiti (FETHI) in consonance with the SERVICOM unit of the hospital, had rolled out new specialist clinic charts to acquaint both the customers of the hospital and visitors the necessary information needed about all the available specialist services rendered in the hospital.

The charts, which had been strategically positioned to keep ambiguity and skepticism at arm’s length, caught the attention of the 4-man ministerial SERVICOM Committee who visited the hospital recently.

Playing host to the visitors in his office on Wednesday, the Chief Medical Director, Prof Adekunle Ajayi, on behalf of the Board and Management of the hospital, welcomed the team to one of the fastest growing tertiary health institutions in Nigeria, as he narrated the historical transformation phases the hospital had witnessed since inception in 1954.

Mr Sa’ad Umar, a Director and team lead, introduced his team members, Mr Vincent Samuel Oludewa, Mr James Ohemu and Mr Okorie Chinedu and stated the purpose of their visit as to monitor and evaluate service delivery in line with SERVICOM index.

Pharm Adetoran (Ag. Nodal Officer), who represented the Nodal Officer, Dr Jimoh, also welcomed the team and led them round over 22 service points where clinical services were evaluated.

The team did not only raised observations at the end of the exercise but also commended the quality of services seen being rendered in the course of the assignment.

Prof. Ajayi applauded their observations and commendation, as he gave an assurance that the quality of services rendered in the hospital shall never be compromised; adding that, power supply has always been a major challenge for the hospital.

He urged the members of the committee to be Ambassadors of FETHI in Abuja, assuring that the equipment handling policy and equipment handling training among other suggestions given shall be prioritized.

Other SERVICOM officers who were actively involved in the exercise were Head of Nursing Services, Mrs Olajide, Dr Michai Arogundade, Com. Efe Asagba, Mr Oloniyo, Engr Matthew, Mr Sanusi and Mrs Oyetola Oyebola.

The Chairman Medical Advisory Committee of the hospital, Dr Olagoke Erinomo, Deputy Director, Human Resources, Mrs Folusho Adelegan, Asst Director, Finance and Accounts, Mrs Yemi Olayisade, Asst Director, Information/Corporate Affairs, Mr Bank-Akinnuoye, Head of Audit, Mrs Yinka Adewara, Head of Procurement, Engr Owoola, Head of Planning, Research and Statistics, Mr Abayomi Alake, Chief Admin Officer (CMD’s Office), Mr Yomi Fayigbe and Head of Legal, Mrs Seun Ojo-Ajayi received the team with the CMD.
