Mission & Vision
The Department of Ear, Nose & Throat (Otorhinolaryngology) came into existence in February 2005 as one of the clinical departments. The specialty of Ear, Nose & Throat now better known as Otolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery has developed into several sub- specialty as follows Otology, Neuro-Otology, Laryngology, Rhinology, Audiology, Paediatrics Otolaryngology, Skull base surgery, Speech and Phonosurgery, Head and neck surgery.
The medical team comprises of two (2) Consultants, four (4) Registrars, two (2) Registered ENT Nurses, one (1) registered Nurse, one (1) Audiologist and one (1) Speech Therapist

Surgical procedures carried out in the department include Adedoidectomy, Tonsilectomy, Bilateral Intranasal antrostomy, Parotidectomy, Laryngoscopy, Oesophagoscopy, Polypectomy, myringotomy, Pinnaplasty, Mastoidectomy, Preauricular sinus excision’, Retropharyngeal abscess drainage, ENT Foreign body removal, Septoplasty and Tracheostomy.

Residency & Training
The Department is accredited by the West African & National Postgraduate Medical Colleges. There are currently four(4) residents in the department at various stages of their training.
