Accident & Emergency is the hospital's first point of contact for anyone arriving with an urgent or life-threatening condition — trauma, accidents, sudden illness, or any case that can't wait for a scheduled appointment.
The unit operates 24/7, with doctors and nurses trained to quickly assess and stabilise patients before either treating them directly or escalating to ICU, Surgery, or another specialist department depending on the case.
What We Handle
- Trauma and accident cases
- Sudden or severe illness
- Stabilisation before transfer to ICU or Surgery
- Urgent care outside of normal clinic hours
Because A&E prioritises by severity, patients with life-threatening conditions are seen ahead of others regardless of arrival time.
