FETHI CMD Receives CMDA Executive, Reaffirms Support for Holistic Patient Care

The Chief Medical Director, Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti (FETHI), Prof. Kolawole Ogundipe, has received the newly inaugurated executive of the Christian Medical and Dental Association (CMDA), FETHI Chapter, led by its Chairman, Dr. Ajibola Ibrahim.

Dr. Ibrahim said the courtesy visit was aimed at familiarising the new executive with hospital management and strengthening collaboration. He explained that CMDA promotes holistic patient care by addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients, while also supporting the development of the hospital. It also requested management’s approval for the deduction of members’ dues from salaries at source and the inclusion of the CMD on its communication platform.

Responding, Prof. Ogundipe welcomed the delegation and commended the association for its commitment to supporting both patients and the hospital. He noted that recognising the place of God in patient care could complement medical interventions and provide a more comprehensive approach to recovery.

Prof. Ogundipe assured the CMDA of management’s continued support and willingness to partner with the association. He also approved the deduction of members’ dues at source where members had given their consent, and encouraged CMDA members to participate actively in the hospital’s monthly prayer meetings.
