DELIVERY OF A NEW AMBULANCE UNDER THE RENEWED HOPE AGENDA
The Management of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti (FETHI), is pleased to inform the hospital community that the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Kolawole Olubunmi Ogundipe, today, 9th October 2026, took delivery of a new ambulance in Lagos for the Hospital under the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The ambulance, branded with the National Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (NEMSAS) identity and the message “Saving Lives – Renewed Hope,” represents an important addition to the Hospital's emergency response and patient transportation capacity.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen the Hospital's ability to support emergency medical services, facilitate the timely transportation of patients, and improve access to urgent medical care for the people of Ekiti State and neighbouring communities.
This development also underscores the importance of sustained investment in emergency healthcare infrastructure as part of the broader effort to improve healthcare delivery and reduce preventable deaths across the country.
The Management appreciates the Federal Government's continued commitment to strengthening the health sector through initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda. The Hospital looks forward to putting this important asset to effective use in advancing its mandate of providing quality, accessible, and patient-centred healthcare.
The hospital community is encouraged to join the Management in welcoming this development and to remain committed to the collective responsibility of ensuring that every available resource is deployed efficiently, professionally, and in the best interest of the patients we serve.
Together, we strengthen emergency care, save lives, and renew hope.
