Residency Training Programme

The Department is accredited by the West African & National Postgraduate Medical Colleges. There are currently four (4) residents in the department at various stages of their training.Residency training started in the Department in the year 2008. The Department of Medicine is accredited by The West African College of Physicians and The National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria for the training of Residents. The Department has produced Senior Residents and Consultants in different specialties.  The Department is also involved in the training of House Officers and the Medical Students and Nursing Students of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti.

Research and Clinical Trials

There are various Research activities on-going in the different specialties.

Events



Annual celebration of the World Health Day, World Hepatitis Day, World Digestive Day, World Kidney Day, World Stroke Day, World Diabetes Day and Annual free screening and vaccination of members of staff against Hepatitis B Virus infection.

Future Expansion

We hope to provide world class health care services. The Department of Internal Medicine is making efforts to increase the number of Specialists to include Infectious Disease and Rheumatology specialists; we have Senior Residents currently being sponsored for training in these fields.
