This promise was made on Tuesday when the Monarch of the community, The Onigogo of Igogo-Ekiti, HRM, Oba Sunday Adewumi led a high profile delegates to the management of the hospital.

Dr Ariyibi, Secretary to the resuscitation Committee earlier set up by the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Adekunle Ajayi, introduced the team and informed the management that the centre had started skeletal work with 50 patients on records.

He said, “We have come to review how far our committee had gone in bringing Igogo annex back to life. We’ve not actually introduced the outreach centre to communities around Igogo. However, the patronage within increases daily.”

Appreciating the level of development noticed at the outreach centre, Dr Aina, a son of the soil, was quoted saying, “We have come to tell the management of this hospital that we appreciate what they have done in Igogo and we equally love it. And we want to assure them that we are also ready to contribute our quota as a community.”

Crowning the opening remarks, the monarch saluted the CMD for lucid developmental projects sighted within FETHI premises and prayed him a successful tenure in office.

Kabiyesi, who had High Chief Michael Adeoye in his entourage, thanked the management for allowing the reactivation of Igogo outreach centre for the good of the community and those living in the neighbouring towns.

In his response, the CMD expressed gratitude to the thoughtfulness of the leadership of the town, describing the team as the most high profile delegation received since he assumed office.

He said the composition had shown height of preparedness expected of a community genuinely willing to be partner in delivery of quality medical healthcare services to its people.

Comrade Aina, a member of the committee, in his own contribution lauded the hospital for identifying with the community and informed the hospital that the community had made provision for staff accommodation.

Other itemised challenges ranging from power supply, availability of water and provision of security to assess road were unanimously resolved.

Giving the vote of thanks on behalf of the community, Elder Aina extolled the CMD for job well done and reiterated the seriousness of the town in creating the expected enabling environment suitable for quality medical healthcare service delivery.

It should be recalled that the CMD, who also hailed from Igogo community, visited the palace of Onigogo of Igogo-Ekiti few months ago where he promised to facilitate the resuscitation of the health centre sited in the community.
