The cross sessions of Christian Faithful at the August edition of the monthly prayer meeting of Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti (FETHI) tagged “Gates of Righteousness, Psalm 118 vs 19” held today, 1st August, 2019 at the hospital’s mini conference hall.

It was a wonderful experience before the Lord as members of staff praised God in dance and worship, thanking Him for His faithfulness over their lives as they witness the new month of August, 2019.

Dr Akinbade, urged the Christian Community to rise up to the enormous challenges in the land and prepare to be known for something worthwhile. Summarizing the bible text of the month, Psalm 118 vs 19, gates of righteousness means that only righteousness opens the door for us to enter the kingdom of Christ. Our sins must be blotted out so that we are righteous; otherwise that gate will be shut and entrance made impossible. Christ is that gate, because He, through His cross, made us righteous.

He also prayed that God will bring honour unto the staff as they give themselves to the path of righteousness and truth.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Prof. Adekunle Ajayi, who welcomed the Faithful to the gathering, encouraged them to always be faithful to God in what they do, faithful in the discharge of their duties and be focused. He prayed the hospital will become very great and the good Lord will continue to be with us all.

The Chairman Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC), Dr. Idowu Adebara disclosed that the building of a new hospital chapel beside ophthalmology department of the hospital will commence from 2nd August, 2019. He appreciated staff who have made donations, thereby encouraging those who have not to contribute as little as they can afford.

The programme was also attended by well meaning members of the management.
