The CMD, who led the hospital management and the procurement team to the programme on Thursday, assured the participants that the process shall not be compromised.
In his remarks, Dr Ajayi thanked the bidders for showing interest in working with the hospital which he said was part of the rebranding process taking place in the system.

“We welcome you all to this hospital. On our list we are having 160 bids from 111 companies. It will interest you that we are having limited work to do and that means only few companies will get the work at the end. We hope that will not earn us more enemies than friends.

“We beg you to understand the process with us and we will make it open and fair. All I want is the development of the hospital and the only way to get that is to be very open with the process. I will never compromise the system,” the CMD assured.

Mrs Orimolade, the hospital Head of Procurement, thanked all the participants and read out the prerequisites for bidding.

After the proceeding which was described fair enough, some of the bidders lauded the hospital for inviting professional bodies including Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to the gathering and affirmed that the hospital was truly fair with the process.
