FAMILIARISATION VISIT OF THE EKITI NEW STATE NYSC COORDINATOR TO THE CMD, FEDERAL TEACHING HOSPITAL, IDO – ÈKÌTÌ ON WEDNESDAY 1ST JULY, 2020.

The new state coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Ekiti State, Mrs Mary Nnena Chikezie today Wednesday 1st of July 2020, made a courtesy visit to the CMD, FETHI with the aim of familiarising herself officially and further boost the long existing relationship between the hospital and the scheme.

The new state coordinator and her team which include an Assistant Director, Mrs Fagbemi H.T, Mrs Lucy Okoukoni, Chief Accountant, Mr Chris Oyedokun, Zonal Inspector, Mr David Owolabi, SA to the state coordinator, Miss Rose Onoja, PRO and Mr John Afolayan, Local Govt. Inspector, Ido/Osi, were received by the CMD, Prof. Adekunle Ajayi who overwhelmingly gave an overview of the hospital as he pointed out the laudable achievements of the hospital since it’s existence.

Elaborating the essence of the visit, the new state coordinator humbly requested the need for an improved welfare package for the Corps members serving in the hospital, especially in this era of Covid-19 pandemic. She equally seek for the provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the Corps members.

In his response, the CMD, Prof. Adekunle Ajayi, highlighted the numerous welfare packages being enjoyed by the corps members posted to the hospital.
He pointed out that the corps members apparently received the same welfare package given to the most senior Staff in the hospital apart from their statutory allowances. Prof. Ajayi however made it known that the quest for an improvement has been part of the consistency vision and mission of the management

While giving the vote of thanks, the CMAC of the hospital, Dr. Idowu Adebara, enjoined the new state coordinator to see the state as her home, owing to the conducive and relative peace witnessed in the state. In the same vein, an assistant Director of the scheme, Mrs Fagbemi H.T, thanked the hospital management for receiving the new state coordinator and the team in a warmth and dignified manner. She then prayed for a more robust and impactful relationship between the hospital and the scheme.

The visit had in attendance some members of the hospital’s management team which includes: the CMAC, Dr. Idowu Adebara, Mrs Olayemi Olayisade, Head of Accounts, Mr Francis Bank-akinuoye, Head of information/Corporate Affairs, Mr Yomi Fayigbe, Chief Admin. Officer and Mrs Olúwaṣeun Ojo-Ajayi, Head of legal services.
