The Members of the Ekiti State House Committee on Health yesterday, Wednesday 10th April, 2019 paid a courtesy visit to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti as part of their oversite functions to Health facilities within the State.
The Team which was received by the Chairman; Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC) Dr. Idowu Adebara and in attendance,the Deputy Provost College of Medicine ABUAD, Dr. Kayode Jimoh and the Head of Information/Corporate Affairs,Mr Bank Akinnuoye was led by the Chairperson, House Committee on Health; Hon. Mrs Bosede. C. Dada. In the team were also Hon. Afolabi Akinyemi, Mr. Tony, Mrs Akerele and the Clerk of the House, Mr.Muyiwa.
The Chairperson, Mrs Bosede who spoke on the mission of the Visit said they were eager to appreciate the Chief Medical Director; Dr. Kunle Ajayi for intervening when one of their members was brought to access care at the Accident and Emmergency Unit of the Hospital.
She also expressed her desire for him to take the team on a Facility Tour round the Hospital so as to replicate the great feat being achieved within the hospital at the State level and most importantly,”…..when we needed the CMD, he was there for us” She said.
The CMAC regrettably informed the Team of the Chief Medical Director’s unavoidable absence as he was away on an official assignment.
The Chairperson of the House Committee on Health on behalf of the Team later promised to reschedule their meeting to another time when the CMD will be around.
