WE’RE TO PERFORM, YOU’RE TO INFORM, FETHI CMD LAUDS NTA’S PROPOSED PARTNERSHIP

Chief Medical Director of Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti (FETHI), Professor Adekunle Ajayi, had stressed the importance of partnership between the hospital and Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Ado-Ekiti, noting the core mandate of the Teaching Hospital as to render qualitative medical services to the people of Ekiti State and its environs.
The CMD, who played host to the Management Team of the Station on Tuesday in his office, appreciated the General Manager, Engr. Segun Osinowo and two others, Mr Julius Afolayan (Engr) and Mr Babatunde Ayeni (Director of Admin), for showing interest in the publicity of recent medical breakthrough being witnessed in the hospital.
The GM, who intimated the CMD of the purpose of their visit, lauded his giant strides and the level of developments which he acknowledged the hospital has recorded since the world-class celebrated scholar and champion assumed office.
He said the Station had determined to partner with the hospital in showcasing the unimaginable ongoing medicare activities within the hospital and the newly procured state-of-the-art equipment that were capable of discouraging medical tourism abroad.
In his response, Prof. Ajayi lauded the station for its readiness to serve as intermediary between the hospital and the public, saying the hospital shall not relent in rendering affordable yet qualitative services which his led administration had priotised in 2019.
He informed the visitors that the two Medical Doctors who recently performed a successful brain surgery in Abeokuta finished their residency training few months ago from FETHI and the hospital was glad to hear the news as proof of quality training given.
The GM later presented a Startime decoder to the CMD to watch NTA and follow its activities 24/7.
Receiving the visitors with the CMD were the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee of the Hospital (CMAC), Dr Idowu Adebara, Head of Information and Corporate Affairs, Mr Bank-Akinnuoye and Chief Admin Officer (CMD’s Office), Mr ‘Yomi Fayigbe.
