PHOTONEWS: The Chief Medical Director of Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti (FETHI), Prof. Adekunle Ajayi, while playing host to visitors led by Ekiti State Coordinator, National Agency for Food, Drugs Administration Control (NAFDAC), Mr Paul T. Abiem and Representative of State Primary Health Care Development Agency (SPHCDA), Com. Raymond A. Adesanmi, on Thursday, 16th July, 2020.
The visit was targeted to seek collaboration on International Code of Marketing of Breast Milk Substitute.
The CMD challenged NAFDAC to also discourage and disallow importation of the substitutes, stressing that they were not produced here in Nigeria. He further assured the team of the hospital’s readiness to continue discouraging Breast Milk Substitute for infants.
